Ambalahonka, Sambirano Valley · Madagascar
In the fertile soils of Madagascar's Sambirano Valley, Ambalahonka cacao flourishes beneath ancient shade trees in a thriving agroforestry system.
This is cacao as it was always meant to be - vibrant, pure, and alive with the island's ancestral spirit. Protected by Madagascar's natural isolation, ancient varieties have thrived here, untouched by the diseases that swept South America. The result is a rare cacao of light, clarity, and connection.
From soil to spirit, people are cared for too. Employees at Ambalahonka farm receive health insurance, transport, and family fields to grow staple crops - strengthening community and nurturing resilience.
